In the ancient language of Sanskrit, Bhumi Devi is the personification of Earth as Goddess and Mother Divine. Bhumi means earth, Devi means divine. This piece pays tribute to Her. It’s a visual invocation, similar to a sacred prayer or song, calling to that aspect of Earth that is Divine Spirit. It’s an offering of love to the Great Mother, asking for Her protection, healing, and harmony for all beings, all animals, all of nature.
